Farfetch is an online luxury fashion marketplace that connects it’s users with high end fashion products from over 700+ boutiques and brands from across the world.
I was brought into Farfetch to help evaluate and improve the product design system and frameworks, whilst also working in the core app team. I also headed up the design side of a product vision piece that aimed to push Farfetch’s digital aspirations and was showcased internally to the whole company as North Star for the year 2020 and beyond.
Product Vision
The most impactful piece of work that I undertook was the design execution for a product vision, I led the design efforts for a product vision project aimed at pushing Farfetch’s digital aspirations forward
As the sole designer, I was responsible for the product design and prototyping across multiple platforms, including mobile, tablet, smartwatch, and an interactive mirror. In addition to designing the user experiences for these interfaces, I collaborated closely with a small team on storyboarding, ensuring the narrative aligned with our ambitious vision.
This work culminated in a 6-minute product vision video that aimed to inspire and illustrate where Farfetch could be heading over the next three years from a digital product perspective.
The video showed 2 main protagonists and their many touch points and interactions with multiple Farfetch products, as well as showcasing integrations of Farfetch products that fashion companies and their distribution teams.
